In rural areas, it is not uncommon for longer response times from Emergency Medical Service. Some of these response times maybe more than 45 minutes depending on the weather, road conditions, and technicality of the roadway. Cell reception is normally poor in these areas as well and sometimes non-existent. People that work and/or play in these areas must rely on themselves and each other if they experienced a traumatic injury. Quickly stabilizing an injury and/or blood loss can lend to a higher survivability rate.
