In events such serious a household accident, vehicle collision, serious sports injuriy, or even an active shooter incident, mass casualty incident, or terrorist attack, it may take longer for Emergency Medical Service to get to a person than it takes for that person to bleed out.

When someone is bleeding out, it is imminent to control or stop the bleeding. Studies show that keeping a subject’s blood volume loss under 15%, gives that person a survivability rate of around 94%.

A trauma kit provides the necessary equipment to help control the bleeding.
